Wardale 006.

Documentation of the painting Through Claires Would by Che in his Collingwood studio. Follows the process from stretching canvas to completed work.

The piece has a cousin in Concerning Elements. Both document the creation of paintings in Melbourne by close friends.
The soundtrack is a mix of pieces by Amon Tobin. Often I use the music of others to create an initial soundtrack to cut the film component of my projects, considering mood, tempo and key. I do a first cut, then compose music to it, then recut the film to the music. I may then add music or sound to create accents with the visuals. Its a ping pong process. With this piece, I just couldn’t erase Amons music, it seemed to work so well.
